Your data & consent
The extension reads supported Handshake job pages. After you opt in to an analysis, your entered résumé and job text are sent directly to Google Gemini using your API key. Byte & Bezel does not operate a résumé-processing backend for this beta.
API key, résumé and consent are held in Chrome session storage for the browser session, not an encrypted vault. Use only a trusted, non-shared browser. Do not submit confidential, classified, regulated or other people's personal information.
Experimental limits
This is an unpacked developer-mode beta, not a Chrome Web Store listing. Static code and packaging checks have been performed; live Handshake extraction and Gemini results have not been end-to-end verified. Site changes, API access or model availability may cause failures.
AI outputs can be wrong. Review every claim before using it in an application. No job, security, compatibility or accuracy guarantee is provided.
Install & remove
- Download and unzip the beta.
- Open chrome://extensions in Chrome, enable Developer mode and select Load unpacked.
- Select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
- Enter your own Gemini key and résumé, then consent before analysis.
To remove, use Remove in chrome://extensions. Close Chrome to end the session and clear session-held data. See the included PRIVACY.md and README.md.
